How it works

From render to posted, in four stops

Upload, compose, schedule, departs. Here is what happens at each stop, what reelport.io checks for you, and what you decide.

01

Upload

Bring the finished render. reelport.io checks it before anything else happens.

  • Videos as MP4 or MOV, up to 1 GB and 10 minutes. The length and frame size are read from the file itself.
  • Photos as JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 8 MB, for Instagram and Facebook. They are stored as JPEG.
  • A 9:16 poster frame is made for the lists, the calendar and the composer.
  • Files sit in a private bucket in the EU, never public, and are deleted 30 days after their last post.
  • From DaVinci Resolve, the Reelport plugin uploads the render for you.

02

Compose

One caption for every channel, then each platform’s own options right below it.

  • Tick the channels. Photos can only go to Instagram and Facebook; the composer tells you before you schedule.
  • TikTok shows the creator name you post as, asks who can watch with no default, keeps comments, duets and stitches off until you allow them, and asks about commercial content.
  • YouTube asks for a title, the visibility and the made-for-kids answer it requires, and warns when a video won’t count as a Short.
  • Instagram Reels can also be shared to the feed (on unless you turn it off).
  • Hashtag suggestions per platform: trending from YouTube’s own chart, your most-used tags elsewhere.

03

Schedule

Pick a day and a minute, publish now, or save a draft for later.

  • Times are set in your timezone, and the timezone is shown with every time.
  • The plugin and the API can take the next free slot: 09:00, 12:30 or 18:00 local time, skipping slots that already have a post within 30 minutes.
  • For TikTok, your choices are checked against the creator’s current options when you schedule.
  • Edit or cancel the post until it starts publishing.

04

Departs

At the minute you picked, reelport.io publishes from its own servers. Your computer can be off.

  • Every minute, due posts are handed to a publishing worker, one job per channel, so one slow platform never holds up the others.
  • TikTok’s creator options are checked once more right before posting. If your choice is no longer allowed, the post stops with a clear message instead of changing it for you.
  • Network errors, platform outages and rate limits are retried after 1, 5 and 15 minutes. Refusals fail at once with the reason.
  • Each channel reports back on the board: published with a live link, or failed with what to do. Failures also arrive by email.
  • TikTok may take a few minutes to process a video before it appears on the profile.
